Shaun Wane first signed for Wigan on 14th August 1981 from Wigan St. Patricks. He made his debut for Wigan on 3rd January 1982 in the league match against Barrow at home where he played second row.
He made a total of 107 appearances and 42 as a substitute scoring a total of 11 tries before making a £60,000 move to Leeds on 19th Septembr 1990. Shaun also had a spell at Workington and represented Great Britain Under 21’s on three occasions and Great Britain twice. He also represented Lancashire twice plus once as a substitute.
Shaun took charge of the Under 18’s junior academy side in 2003 and has helped a number of players through the club ranks, senior academy to first team.
