  • Teacher, Broadcaster, Humorist & Lyricist
  • Strong Sporting Background As A Former Top Class Welsh Rugby Player

Teacher, broadcaster, humorist and lyricist Phil Steele is one of Wales’ most popular after dinner speakers.

His strong sporting background as a former top class welsh rugby player with Newport RFC in the 1980`s  together with his role as a mirthful radio presenter and sports commentator for B.B.C. Wales and Radio Telefis Eireann have enabled him to develop a wide variety of material.

Remarkably, Phil combines his speaking career and broadcasting work with his occupation as a part-time teacher of children with learning difficulties in The Rhymney Valley of South Wales. This also provides him with a rich fund of humour.

Over the years he has performed for a huge variety of organizations including The British Insurance Brokers Association, The Brewers Guild, The Coal Industry Society, The Chartered Institute Of Water And Environmental Managers, The Chartered Institute Of Building Services Engineers, The Chartered Institute Of Purchase and Supply, The Electrical Contractors Association, Lords Taverners, The RAF, The RNLI and The Welsh Urological Society as well as at countless sports clubs, golf days, Rotary, Round Table, corporate and charity functions.

Phil has spoken at many varied functions and venues throughout Britain and abroad including The House Of Lords, Saint David’s Hall, The Cardiff International Arena, The Grosvenor House Hotel, The Dubai Welsh Society St. David`s Day Dinner and the Qatar Welsh Society Dinner.

Phil Steele is a raconteur with a special appeal for all gatherings who are looking for someone who understands and appreciates their interests and who can keep them laughing all night!
