Paul Stevens began as a caddy at the young age of 12 and is currently the longest serving caddy on The PGA European Tour, having caddied all over Europe, South Africa, Japan, Australia, The Far East, New Zealand and America, including such courses as Augusta (US Masters), Oak Tree, Crooked Stick & Shoal Creek (US PGA), along with Brookline, Inverness & Oak Hill (US Opens).

He has caddied for such famous players as the legendary Sam Snead, Christy O’Connor Snr, Ben Crenshaw (US Masters Champion 1984 & 1985), Hubert green (US Open Champion 1977), Bill Rogers (Open Champion 1981), Curtis Strange (US Open Champion 1988 & 1989), Sandy Lyle (Open Champion 1985 & US Masters Champion 1988), and has won The Australian Open in 1984 with Tom Watson (5 times Open Champion, Masters & US Open Champion) at Royal Melbourne, one of the finest courses in the world.

He has been a regular caddy for Peter Oosterhuis back in 1974 (leading money winner & 2nd in The Open Championship), Greg Norman in 1979/80, Nick Faldo in 1986 and during the last 7 years for Mark McNulty (2nd in Open Championship 1990), with whom he has won 3 German Opens and The 1987 British Masters, which he also won again with Christy O’Connor Jnr in 1992.

Paul has 15 tournament wins, and has 10 finishes in the top 15 of The Open Championship, including twice being runner-up, and has caddied in The Dunhill Cup, Kirin Cup, and World Cup as well as The Ryder Cup in matches against Jack Nicklaus & Arnold Palmer.

Paul Stevens as an after dinner speaker provides an interesting and “worms eye view” insight into the nitty gritty life of the Professional Golf Caddy, from the “other side of the bag”, and includes humorous stories, anecdotes and opinions which will be of keen interest to all connected with the wonderful game of golf.

After being Compere for The National UK Theatre Tour for The Cannon & Ball show, Paul has since done Summer Seasons in Blackpool and continues to be one of the most sought after acts in the country for all aspects of the Entertainment Industry.

He has a vast knowledge of Sport and ability as a Compere have made him very much in demand as an MC/Compere at Sportsmans Dinners & Lunches.
