- Showbiz Journalist With Many Entertaining Tales
Showbiz journalist Graham Keal has been interviewing TV celebrities for over 30 years, Oprah included. His interviews and columns have been published everywhere from The Daily Telegraph to My Weekly, TV Times to The Sun, The Guardian to The Gonerby Gazette.
Graham has also entertained in folk clubs, compered charity events and concerts, tried his hand at stand-up comedy and auditioned (unsuccessfully) for Opportunity Knocks. He resolved to return a year later and do better, but was foiled by the BBC – who axed the series rather than risk it. Now he is bringing together both sides of his unusual career and is available for after-dinner speeches, talks to organisations, event hosting etc.
Eric Morecambe was Graham’s first official celebrity interview, back in 1975. Since then he has enjoyed (or not) celebrity encounters by the hundred with the likes of John Hurt, Jamie Oliver, Billie Piper, Matt Lucas, Tom Jones, Omar Sharif, Tom Baker, Les Dawson, Vic Reeves, Oprah, Pat Phoenix, Liz Hurley, Jenny Agutter, Frank Ifield, Robson Green, Gene Pitney, an Everly Brother, Roger Moore, Clive Owen, Rory Bremner, Harry Enfield, Paul Whitehouse, Bob Hoskins, Spike Milligan, Victoria Wood, Julie Walters, Ralf Little, David Attenborough, Bill Oddie, Keith Floyd, Mel B, Rick Stein, Joan Rivers, Johnny Vegas, Barry Humphries, Lee Evans, Noel Edmonds, Amanda Holden, Penny Smith, Leslie Grantham, Chris Ecclestone, Claire Goose, Esther Rantzen, Jeremy Clarkson, Melvyn Bragg, Matthew Kelly and, er, Henry Kissinger. But that’s another story…
