David Clark is a highly accomplished trainer, speaker, coach and entertainer, He is originally from Zimbabwe where he was born, raised and educated. His participation in sport saw him play basketball and water polo at regional level, and he played school and club rugby. He completed his national service during the time of the Rhodesian Bush War before moving to live in the U.K. in 1973.

Following a spell as a Bluecoat lifeguard at a Pontins site in Dorset he moved to the Channel Island of Jersey to work. Here he became the youngest pub licensee in the U.K. at the then tender age of 21.

On his return to the mainland he went into financial services, selling life insurance. As one of the top sales people he attended and spoke at offshore conferences around the world. He also addressed sales meetings and conferences in the UK.

Following a successful career in sales he moved into sales training and from there became a consultant with an international organisation.

In 1990 he and his wife Angela set up Alegna Training, specialising in people and business development. Today he delivers development events associated with effective leadership including teambuilding, performance coaching, time management and assertiveness. He is also involved with holiday cottages and granite quarrying.

David has written two books, “ Motivating to Win – How to Create, Inspire and Motivate a High Performing Team ” and “ Linear Time Management – The Key to High Personal Achievement.

David is also available for speaking engagements where his topic is “ Create Your Own Destiny – How to Design and Create the Life of Your Dreams ” based on his book of the same title which will be published later in 2008. The sub title is “ How much Luck Can You Really Handle?

In his spare time David is a qualified rugby coach and referee, and coaches at club, county and regional level. He lives with his wife and children on the northern edge of Bodmin Moor in Cornwall.
