Gary Marshall comes form a comedy background, his father is Jimmy Marshall and his grandfather was a famous Scottish comedian. Gary started as a Butlins Redcoat at Blackpool’s Metropole Hotel for two seasons.

He turned professional in 1987 and toured with several comedians shows acting as compere, as well as putting in the odd performance to serve his apprenticeship. He later toured with The Drifters at top venues such as Wembley Conference Centre, Sunderland Empire, Sheffield City Hall and the Glasgow Empire.

Gary has worked through the whole of the country in UK, as well as abroad in such places as: Holland, Dubai, Muscat and entertaining the troops overseas in Germany and Cyprus.

Gary is also a regular in pantomime with three consecutive years at the Civic Theatre, Rotherham. Gary has played Brokers Man in Cinderella and Simple Simon in Jack & The Beanstalk. 

Gary thoroughly enjoys his role as an entertainer, but also admits to favour The Sportsmans’ Dinner Evenings” not only are they a pleasure to do but being a football fanatic (Arsenal !!!) himself, gives him an opportunity to meet a lot of boyhood heroes”. Gary has worked with the likes of Alan Ball, Tommy Smith, Nobby Stiles tc. 

He received the Comedian of the Year award back in 1999.
