Nicky Piper MBE was born in Cardiff, Wales in May 1966, he’s a former Super Middleweight and Light Heavyweight boxer who was at the height of his profession in the 1990’s when he was crowned Commonwealth Light Heavyweight Champion, he fought for the World title 3 times and who would forget the amazing bout in London with Nigel Benn who stopped Nicky with a TKO in round 11, he’s now a member of the Sky Sports TV boxing team as one of the co-commentators and pundit.

Nicky’s boxing career in the ring consisted of 33 fights, 26 victories with 20 ending inside the distance.

After his retirement from boxing Piper became a sports commentator and in 1997 a member of the British Boxing Board of Control Piper served as Chairman of the Professional Boxing Association and in 2005 he was awarded the MBE for his services to the sport Nicky is a member of Mensa and works for George Thomas Hospice Care as events manager, he has many great stories to tell from his career inside the ring, stories from his current media life and notable funny tales from the Golf course, Nicky is a keen golfer and spends much of his time on the course when away from his 1st love of Boxing.
