Damien Hopley
Damien Hopley was born on 12 April 1970 in Lambeth, London and is a former centre/winger. More recently he has been appointed Chairman of the International Rugby Players Association (IRPA) - Damian Hopley's 14 games for England are not a fair reflection on his talent or influence within the sport; as a popular Wasps player with 10 years service, Damian's International career peaked when the England 7?s team lifted the inaugural Melrose World 7?s Trophy in 1993. Owing to injury, Damian's on-pitch career ended in 1998 however his off-field flourished as he developed his media and speaking profile and later went on to found and run the Professional Rugby Player's Association (PRA).
A Cambridge graduate, an authority on rugby, with the inside track on players, politics and policy, not only is Damian a great ambassador of the game, he is an immensely amusing one. His extensive media work and his sphere of influence within the sporting and corporate worlds means that Damian is a perfect MC, auctioneer or speaker for both business and consumer clients alike.
Damien is currently involved with the National side. He is available for after dinner speaking at Sportsmans Dinners and Corporate Events.
