He has spent a lifetime in the game and risen to the highest level in the profession, having played several times in the British Open.
In 1989 he was captain (and now an honorary member) of the PGA and is a former member of the Ryder Cup Committee.
He was accorded a great honour in 1998 when he was voted the PGA of Europe Golf Professional of the Year.
For nine years, he was National Coach of the English Golf Union and has been a tutor at the PGA Training Academy since 1970.
He is author of the book: "Golf - the skills of the game".
