Ron Chopper Harris

Ron "Chopper" Harris is the former Chelsea skipper, and the first Chelsea captain to hoist the FA Cup. 
Ron made his Chelsea debut aged17 on Saturday, 24th February 1962 in a 1-0 win at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
 
Ron picked up the FA Youth Cup in '61, League Cup winners' medal in '65 and captained the side to victory in the '70 FA Cup and '71 Cup Winners Cup. The Official Magazine' had a 'Seventies Special' in which they describe Ron Harris as the player of the decade.
 
In total Chopper made 795 appearances and scored 14 goals.
Nicknamed 'Chopper' for his no-nonsense tacking style. Hero to the hordes in blue, Chopper was seen as a brutal villain by supporters of other teams for his enthusiastic man-marking and cynical but effective tackling.

Ron is currently entertaining corporate clients at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea home fixtures. He is available for after dinner speaking, corporate events and golf days.
