Peter Barnes
Peter Barnes was born in Manchester on the 10th June 1957.
Made his City debut in a League Cup tie against Man United in 1974-75. Quickly gained admiration and affection from the City fans with his skilful and speedy wing play. 1975-76 was Peter's greatest season gaining a League Cup winners medal after scoring the opening goal in a 2-1 win. His fellow professionals also named him Young Player of the Year.
High: Scoring the opening goal in the 1976 League Cup Final against Newcastle.
Low: Signing for Man United in 1985.
