Paul Fletcher

Paul’s playing career began way back in 1966 for his home club Bolton Wanderers. From Bolton he was transferred to Burnley in 1970 for what was to be one of the old 1st divisions most expensive signings. In 1974 Paul scored “the goal of the decade” against the mighty Leeds United to give Burnley a 4-1 win.

Paul later went on to be Marketing Director for an International Photographic Company for 5 years, followed by a spell as a Commercial Manager at Colne Dynamoes. He then became Chief Executive of Huddersfield and The Alfred McAlpine Stadium, which in 1985 was voted “Building of the Year”

Paul subsequently returned to Bolton and The Reebok Stadium to become Chief Executive of the £35 million project, which is said to be one of the finest stadium’s in Europe.

Paul currently lives in The Rossendale Valley in the heart of Lancashire with his wife and two children.
